Benjamin J. Patz serves as a Managing Director and General Partner at Florida Angel Nexus. Benjamin Patz co-founded Coleman Technologies, Inc. in 1995 and served as its President and Chief Executive Officer. During his time the sales grew to $ 250 million. Benjamin Patz was the Chief Operating Officer at Presidio, where he ran operations and led the company’s M&A activities. He was the Principal investigator on a number of SBIR grants relating to the application of Fuzzy Logic and Neural Networks to control systems. Benjamin Patz has 15 years’ experience in system analysis, design, and testing for the Naval Research Laboratory, Lockheed Martin, CRC and CTI. He has a specialty in computation, control systems, and simulations. Benjamin Patz received Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2002 and UCF’s Professional Achievement Award in 2006. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1983 with a BSEE degree and an MSEE degree from the University of Central Florida in 1985.
