Ben McInnis is a senior manager in Amazon’s Devices division where he oversees the Alexa Connect Kit program. Alexa Connect Kit, combines Amazon-managed cloud services with a hardware module and developer tools to simplify and accelerate the process of creating Alexa-compatible smart devices, increasing the selection and diversity of devices available to Alexa customers.

Prior to his current role, Ben held senior product, engineering, and user experience roles at Socrata, a big data and IoT SaaS company focused on the public sector. Before Socrata, Ben served in several product strategy roles at Microsoft. In his free time, Ben, a Seattle native, is an avid skier, hiker, and advocate for the nature and wildlife of the Pacific Northwest.
