Avi Shafar is the Chief Financial Officer at Simulmedia. Avi was most recently the CFO of BBE (Broadband Enterprises), an online video network. At BBE, Avi was responsible for all of the company’s financial functions including, accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax and treasury and helped lead the company through its successful sale to Specific Media. Prior to joining BBE, Avi was the corporate controller of I.D. Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: IDSY), an RFID technology company. In his role, he was responsible for all of the company’s accounting functions including the filings of all SEC documents and the implementation of the company’s internal controls. A CPA, Avi began his finance career in the audit practice of RSM McGladrey. Avi holds a B.A. in Accounting from Brooklyn College and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
