Ahmed Nawaz is an industry veteran, with more than 30 years of experience leading and managing large global operations in the semiconductor and wireless industries. He has extensive multinational sales and product management expertise, particularly in Asia Pacific.

Most recently, Mr. Nawaz served as executive vice president, Wireless Solutions Group at Spansion Inc. from October 2010 until his retirement in November 2011. He joined Spansion in 2006 and served in various positions including executive vice president of worldwide sales, marketing and corporate development and executive vice president, Wireless Solutions Division.

Before joining Spansion, he was executive vice president, worldwide sales for Agere Systems, a provider of integrated circuit solutions.

Prior to that, Mr. Nawaz was president, worldwide sales, strategy and business development of Lucent’s Microelectronics & Communications Technologies Group and before that president of the Integrated Circuits Division.

He joined AT&T in 1992 and moved to Lucent following its spin-off from AT&T in 1996. Earlier in his career, He has also held various management positions with Texas Instruments.

Mr. Nawaz has been on the Board of Directors of Digi International since 2006 and currently serves as lead director of the Board.
