Led by Co-founder & CEO Jules Pieri, The Grommet is reshaping the way people launch, discover, share, influence, and buy products online. Our mission is rooted in Citizen Commerce®, where each of us exercises economic clout by supporting businesses whose values reflect our own—like sustainability, underrepresented entrepreneurs, or products Made in The USA. Since 2008, The Grommet has launched more than 2,000 products (or "Grommets") in 16 categories. Through our selection and storytelling we spotlight products for our community of more than 2.7 million supporters in the U.S. Only 3% of the products reviewed by our Discovery Team are selected for launch. As of April 2016, The Grommet has purchased more than $40 million worth of inventory from our Makers. Many of the products we’ve launched have gone on to great success. Some have even become household names, like Bananagrams, Bondic, Cuppow, FitBit, GoldieBlox, IdeaPaint, Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day, OtterBox, Plumen, PocketMonkey, SodaStream, Sugru, PocketMonkey, and Yogibo, among others. In 2014, at the first-ever White House Maker Faire, The Grommet Wholesale was launched to help Makers distribute their products direct to Main Street Retailers and national chains. As of April 2016, more than 1,000 products are available to 6,500 retailers.
