Team Introduction
Utility Network is created by UtilityNet Labs, a laboratory that focuses on researching and expanding the application of decentralized AI computing power network technology. The team is committed to building reliable infrastructure for Web3 and has developed powerful decentralized AI computing power and application tools.
The team members have different professional backgrounds, including experts, professors, and PhDs in various fields such as blockchain, the internet, distributed computing, and artificial intelligence.
The team's vision is to create a vast, low-cost, high-performance distributed intelligent computing network. They emphasize algorithm, data, and computation as driving factors for AI development and hope to create a solid foundation for AI computing for the Fourth Industrial Revolution and civilization leap.
Key Technical Features
1、Technical Direction
UtilityNet technology mainly focuses on two key directions:
1)Improving the performance of individual computing nodes
The emergence of non-von Neumann architecture chips represented by quantum chips and neuromorphic chips brings hope for the transformation of computing hardware;
2)Efficient utilization of computing power systems
Multi-dimensional heterogeneous computing at the chip level and data center level will accompany the trend of cloud-edge integration, building a brand-new computing system that is available anytime, anywhere, and customized on demand.
2、Technical Architecture
In the early stage of UtilityNet's mainnet construction, it will be developed based on the overall architecture of the core layer, service layer, and application layer of the BEP20 (Binance Smart Chain) ecosystem. As development progresses, it will gradually open testing on well-known public chains such as ETH, Solana, and TRON.
UtilityNet aims to comprehensively compare the testing effects of mainstream public chains during the testing period. Finally, it will integrate the advantages of multiple mainstream public chains to create an ecological and applicable public chain that best suits its own needs.
The overall architecture of UtilityNet is divided into three layers: application layer, technical layer, and foundation layer. The application layer focuses on the combination of artificial intelligence and various industries and fields; the technical layer focuses on algorithm, model, and technology development; and the foundation layer focuses on computing power and data resources.
UtilityNet also introduces the CFN distributed computing power scheduling protocol. The CFN distributed computing power scheduling protocol is the core functional layer of the UtilityNet network, supporting the perception and notification of multi-dimensional resources and services such as network, computing, and storage. This is conducive to achieving joint scheduling of "network + computing".
3、POCI Consensus Mechanism
The consensus mechanism of blockchain commonly depends on proof of work (PoW) based on computing power proof, where the computing power of mining machines is closely related to the right to account and rewards. However, PoW has serious drawbacks such as enormous energy and computing resource consumption, lack of actual social value, and negative impacts on the environment and economy.
In addition, proof of work is prone to cause computing power competition and centralization, as only large-scale mining farms and pools have sufficient resources to participate in the network. Small nodes are difficult to compete, which may lead to power concentration in the hands of a few people, contrary to the original decentralized idea.
Utility Network adopts a brand-new proof mechanism that indirectly proves computing power through trusted computing power ownership, known as Proof of Computation Integrity (PoCI). This proof mechanism completely abandons the high-cost and high-consumption computing mode, replacing it with the computing power ownership model of chip.
In Utility Network, Utility uses high-performance Sophon TPU computing chips to form a powerful computing power network, which will be used for decentralized mining and artificial intelligence training services for users in the future.
TPU (Tensor Processing Unit) is an accelerator chip designed for artificial intelligence, responsible for deep learning computing tasks. Its characteristics include: high performance of up to trillions of floating-point operations per second; low power consumption; optimized hardware design; and compatibility with various development frameworks and software libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.

Token Economy
While the US dollar is the circulating currency in the real world, Bitcoin serves as the circulating currency in the blockchain network. UtilityNet, on the other hand, aims to make its token UNC a universal currency in the AI computing power field.
The total supply of UNC is 10 billion tokens, and it serves as the practical utility token of the UtilityNet ecosystem, fulfilling circulation and pricing functions. Let's take a look at the basic information of this token:
1、Token distribution
According to information disclosed by the project team, in the creation block distribution of UtilityNet, 1% will be allocated for DAO organization management; 1% will be allocated for technical node management funds; 1% will be used as initial mining fuel, and the remaining 97% will be distributed to UtilityNet miners as mining rewards, used to provide AI computing power, maintain the blockchain, distribute data, and run contracts, among other services. Over time, these rewards will support various types of mining.
2、Test period mining and burning rules
In UtilityNet's ecosystem, miners need to fill a certain amount of UNC as fuel to burn before mining. The fuel will be burned out after 200 days. The tokens produced through mining will be released directly, without being locked up. At the same time, 5% of the total daily burning volume will enter the project foundation wallet as operating and technical development expenses. As testing progresses and the mainnet launches, the burning rules will be further optimized to better reflect the deflationary value-added characteristics of the token. Based on the current rules, the total amount of UNC burnt will be 95%, ultimately deflating to 500 million tokens. This also gives its market price some room for growth.
3、UNC production rules
After the UtilityNet network officially launches, its output will follow a production cycle of every 200 days, with a 5% reduction in production every cycle. It is expected that 9 cycles will be able to mine the remaining 9.7 billion tokens. The initial cycle output is 500 million tokens, producing 2.5 million tokens per day.
Conclusion
In the future, with the widespread application of artificial intelligence and distributed computing, Utility Network, as a distributed blockchain network technology composed of TPU chip computing power, is expected to be widely used and promoted in the AI computing power field.
Its consensus mechanism based on instruction signature and verifiable computing capabilities and advanced technical architecture provide more efficient, secure, transparent, and cost-effective solutions for distributed computing, which will have a profound impact on the entire computing and financial ecosystem.
At the same time, its token UNC, as the practical utility token of the ecosystem, will play an increasingly important role, and even has the potential to become a universal currency in the AI computing power field, used to pay for computing resources and transaction fees, promoting the healthy development of the ecosystem.
