Lugano Newspaper Educates Locals on Using Bitcoin for In-Store Payments

April 9 (Cointime) - Bitcoin Magazine has reported that a newspaper in Lugano, Switzerland is taking a step towards educating people on how to use Bitcoin as a means of payment at local stores. This move could potentially lead to greater adoption of the cryptocurrency in the area.

Lugano has been actively embracing cryptocurrencies and is working towards becoming a hub for digital assets. The city has been developing new infrastructure to support the adoption of various cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Tether, and its own LVGA token, as legal tender. The city has also announced plans to allow its residents to use cryptocurrencies to pay their taxes and make purchases at over 200 local businesses in the coming months.
