Gate Group, a major cryptocurrency exchange, has announced that its Italian subsidiary, Gate Italy s.r.l., has successfully registered as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) with the Italian regulatory agency Organismo Agenti e Mediatori (OAM).
As a result of this registration, Gate Italy s.r.l. is now authorized to offer several business services related to virtual currencies in Italy, including virtual currency transfer and clearing services, digital wallet services, and services related to the use and exchange of virtual currencies.
The VASP registration will enable Gate Italy s.r.l. to provide Italian users with safer and more professional virtual asset transaction and management services while complying with local laws and regulations, as well as anti-money laundering requirements. The VASP registration is presently only valid in Italy, but the company plans to expand its services to other countries and regions in the future.
