April 15 (Cointime) - According to a Nevada filing obtained by The Verge, Elon Musk founded a new artificial intelligence-focused company called X.AI on March 9th, 2023.
Rumors about Musk initiating an AI venture has circulated for days, as a Business Insider report disclosed that Musk acquired thousands of graphic processing units (GPUs) for an upcoming generative AI product.
In a tweet from October last year, Elon Musk stated, "Buying Twitter is an accelerant to creating X, the everything app." The alleged X.AI name aligns with the X Corp. branding he has subsequently attributed to Twitter, as well as the "X" designation he has applied to his concept of an “everything app.”
