July 4 (Cointime) - The duration of the XRP lawsuit involving Ripple Labs and the SEC has caused concern among the crypto community, with some questioning the accuracy of information being shared.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse had previously suggested that a decision on the lawsuit would be made in a matter of weeks, but over a year has passed without a verdict.

Crypto Law founder John Deaton, who had predicted an early summary judgement, clarified that there have been different timelines for summary judgement rulings in the case.

Deaton also expressed surprise that the lawsuit has gone beyond June, but noted that he had expected the judge to issue her ruling sooner due to the public interest in the case.
