XRP Community Celebrates as Judge Denies SEC's Motion to Seal Hinman Documents in Ripple Lawsuit

The XRP community has shown great interest in the recent update regarding the documents related to William Hinman's controversial speech.

The SEC had previously refused to surrender the documents to Ripple, citing attorney-client privilege, but after 18 months of legal battle, the documents were finally surrendered in October 2022.

However, the SEC filed a motion to seal the drafts of Hinman's speech, which was denied by Judge Torres, who ruled that the documents are subject to a presumption of public access.

The documents are set to be released on June 6, 2023, and Ripple is working with its lawyers to release an unredacted version. Some XRP community members believe that the SEC may settle with Ripple rather than allow the release of the unredacted documents.
