On June 26th local time, "WikiLeaks" founder Assange arrived in the capital of the Northern Mariana Islands, Saipan, by plane and is about to appear in a US court for his alleged violation of US espionage laws. According to a legal document cited by US media on the 24th, "WikiLeaks" website founder Assange agreed to plead guilty that day. After pleading guilty, Assange will not need to serve his sentence in the United States. According to the prescribed procedure, Assange must appear in a US federal court and plead guilty to the serious charges. The plea agreement he reached with the US Department of Justice must be approved by the judge of that court. As Assange refused to set foot on US soil, the US Department of Justice approved his appearance in a federal court located in the capital of the Northern Mariana Islands, Saipan, and the appearance date was set on the 26th. After completing this procedure, Assange will fly back to Australia.
