June 22 (Cointime) - Valkyrie and BitWise have resubmitted applications for a Bitcoin spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) to the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), joining a growing list of applicants that includes Blackrock, Fidelity, Invesco, and Wisdom Tree.
Despite recent regulatory crackdowns, these companies are determined to gain approval for their spot Bitcoin ETFs. While the SEC has already approved futures exchange-traded funds (ETFs), it has expressed skepticism about approving spot ETFs.
The market has seen positive movement, with Bitcoin's value increasing by at least 4.5%, and other leading cryptocurrencies also seeing gains, reigniting bullish sentiment in the crypto markets.
