Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was supposed to announce his presidential run on a Twitter Space with Elon Musk, but technical difficulties caused the livestreamed group voice chat to cut out quickly. The audio was distorted and glitchy, with only reverb noise and some distorted speech being played at times. Despite the glitch, there were 580,000 listeners in the Twitter space, which was hosted by David Sacks, a venture capitalist and Musk ally. Twitter has been experiencing technical issues since Musk took over last year, resulting in the live audio session being only available as a recording by 3:20 PM PT.
