The Yearn Community Initiated the V3 Proposal, Intending To Promote the Complete Decentralization of the Protocol and Improve the Basic Structure

On August 16th, Yearn Finance DeFi yield aggregator community initiated a YIP proposal to launch Yearn V3, which aims to launch a complete V3 system that allows anyone to deploy V3 vaults and strategies without permission.

The ultimate state of V3 should be a fully decentralized protocol that provides a more secure and reliable infrastructure for on-chain capital allocation. To achieve this goal, Yearn contributors outlined four key requirements that V3 needs to meet: 1. Further decentralization at launch and gradually over time. 2. Simplify strategy writing. 3. Better than Yearn's V1 strategy product. 4. Better than Yearn's V2 custodial vault.

The first contract version of Yearn V3, "3.0.0", has been deployed on the Ethereum mainnet, Polygon, Optimism, and Avalanche, but the focus will initially be on Polygon, with plans to push to other chains publicly once this version is proven stable.
