as of the end of February 2025, the total number of users on South Korean virtual asset trading platforms reached 16.29 million, accounting for approximately 32% of the total population, exceeding the number of stock investors (14.1 million). It is worth noting that this data is based on the total number of account holders on the five major exchanges in South Korea - Upbit, Bithumb, Coinone, Korbit, and Gopax. If the same person opens accounts on multiple exchanges, they will be counted repeatedly.
