Martii "Sirius" Malmi, an early collaborator of Bitcoin code, released all the email correspondence between himself and Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto. In the emails, Nakamoto expressed his thoughts and predictions about Bitcoin at the time, including:
· Someone once proposed to donate $2,000 to him, and Nakamoto said it could be sent to Martii's address
· Believed that Bitcoin is easy to obtain through mining and can be done with a home computer
· Predicted that the Bitcoin network will have a maximum of 100,000 nodes (currently about 50,000 nodes)
· Predicted that the energy consumption of Bitcoin mining will be lower than that of traditional banking systems
· Predicted that there will be at least one feasible non-monetary use case, supporting timestamp use cases
· Worried about the legal risks of Bitcoin and not opposed to Bitcoin's investment properties
· Said he was tired in July 2009 and needed to "take a break"
