The Terra Classic team is seeking to save on-chain funds that have yet to be moved to secondary marketplaces by the hackers who stole over 15.1 billion LUNC from the Terraport layer-2 DeFi project.
A proposal has been rolled out by a senior member of TerraCVita, the independent development team that built Terraport, to enable an emergency code upgrade that will lock up approximately $2 million of stolen funds from investors and users of Terraport, if the proposal passes governance voting.
The proposal aims to prevent the funds from being moved to exchanges for a possible sell-off and increase the chances of investors getting their funds returned. However, the proposal has not received support from the majority of the LUNC community, who blame TerraCVita for the Terraport hack.
