Telegram's founder, Pavel Durov, who is worth $17.5 billion, has revealed that he only owns Telegram stock, Bitcoin, and some Toncoin. Durov raised $210 million through a bond issue this week to support the app, which has over 800 million monthly active users.
A quarter of the bonds were purchased by Durov himself, and the rest were bought by highly sophisticated investors with "stellar reputations" who specialize in bonds investment. In comparison, Elon Musk holds Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin, and while Tesla has sold its Bitcoin holdings, both Tesla and SpaceX accept Dogecoin for their merchandise.
