Stanford University to Return Over $5.5 Million Worth of FTX Donation

In a recent development regarding the lawsuit filed by FTX debtor against Sam Bankman-Fried's parents, it has been discovered that Stanford University has ties with FTX Fund. Stanford University received over $5.5 million in donations from FTX Group, allegedly donated directly by Joe Bankman, SBF's father and a professor at Stanford University. In a statement given to Blockworks, a spokesperson for Stanford University acknowledged the donations and promised to return the money to the debtor.

The spokesperson said, "The gifts received by Stanford University from FTX Foundation and related companies were primarily for prevention and research related to epidemics. We have been in discussions with the lawyers of FTX debtor to return these gifts and we will return the full amount."
