Space Pepes Outpace Bored Apes and Bitcoin Frogs as Top-Selling Bitcoin-Based NFT Collection

Space Pepes, a collection of unique Bitcoin-based digital collectibles, has surpassed Bored Ape Yacht Club and Bitcoin Frogs in trading volume over the past 24 hours, according to CryptoSlam data.

While historically, top-selling NFT collections were minted on Ethereum, the fact that Bitcoin-based NFTs are now in the discussion for trading volume could mark the beginning of a new era.

The accidental creation of Bitcoin NFTs via Ordinals has brought those beliefs into fruition, and the highly secure and liquid blockchain makes Bitcoin an attractive blockchain to launch NFTs for creators.

The Bitcoin NFT market is on the upswing, generating $156 million in sales during the past 30 days, making it the second most popular chain for digital assets.
