Korean game studio NPIXEL has disbanded its Meta headquarters responsible for developing and operating chain games and Web3 new businesses. Previously, the department cooperated with Aptos to create the Web3 platform METAPIXEL and is currently developing the Web3 game "Gran Saga: Unlimited" based on NPIXEL IP.
The game is planned to be released in January next year, but it is currently expected to be difficult to push forward. It is reported that the company disbanded the Meta headquarters due to cost savings, internal member conflicts, and management disagreements. An Npixel spokesperson said: "The department head plans to resign for personal reasons, and the Meta headquarters also plans to reorganize. There is no specific decision yet."
