As England bids for its first World Cup win since 1966, a new NFT project that brims with nostalgia and English national pride has been announced. Sir Geoff Hurst holds the global record as the only footballer to score a hat-trick in a world cup final. He is one of the last living English football legends who played in 1966, and thus retains vivid memories of the win. He has teamed up with leading artist Reeps One and the digital auction site Rarible to digitally preserve his collections and memories of the famous victory against West Germany as NFTs. (nftplazas)
