June 22 (Cointime) - Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu, has announced the launch of Shibacals, which will serve as an authentication layer for collectibles using NFC chips. Kusama emphasized that Shiba Inu's approach of digitally authenticating physical items through NFC chips is unique and sets them apart.

The project will also partner with Champion Apparels to create SHIB-themed merchandise, fulfilling the wishes of the Shiba Inu community. Additionally, Shiba Inu has introduced the World paper, a comprehensive guide to the SHIB ecosystem that explains the long-term plan for full decentralization.
