June 23 (Cointime) - Shytoshi Kusama, the anonymous leader of the Shiba Inu cryptocurrency project, has announced his intention to step down from his position once key features of the ecosystem are fully implemented. Kusama made the announcement on Telegram, stating that he will step back from his role once Shibarium is fully developed and multi-token governance is operational.

Kusama has been an important figure in the Shiba Inu ecosystem since early 2021, and his active engagement on social media platforms has garnered a strong following. He outlined a series of initiatives that the Shiba Inu team is working towards, including the completion of all "Ryoshi checklist items" and the introduction of "Shibacals: Authenticated Collectibles."
