Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has criticized the United States for its confusing crypto regulations, which are causing many cryptocurrency companies to leave the country. Garlinghouse blames the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for the lack of clear guidance on cryptocurrency regulation, making it difficult for companies to conduct business in the United States.
Due to the regulatory uncertainty, entrepreneurs and investors are considering relocating to other jurisdictions, with Europe being a notable beneficiary. Ripple is also directing more investments towards international markets, with 95% of its customer base located outside of the U.S.
However, Garlinghouse stated that Ripple is not currently rushing to be listed on a stock exchange and will only consider going public if it benefits business growth and improves the customer experience.
