Aaron Kaplan, founder of cryptocurrency brokerage Prometheum, expects the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to win a lawsuit against blockchain firm Ripple. He believes that the Ripple case is similar to the SEC's case against open source content distribution company LBRY, and thus expects a similar outcome.
However, members of the XRP community and legal news outlet CryptoLaw said Kaplan favored the SEC and did not highlight the differences between the two cases. Still, Kaplan supports SEC Chairman Gary Gensler's regulatory policy, a position he expressed earlier this week in testimony to the U.S. House Financial Services Committee.
