Brave has introduced a new token-gating feature on its web3 calling service, Brave Talk. This feature allows users to token-gate calls using non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and Proof of Attendance Protocol (POAPs). The new feature enables hosts to use NFTs and POAPs to token-gate access, assign moderator permissions, configure avatars, and more. Brave believes that the addition of these features creates the first fully-integrated web3 live event platform. The company plans to expand the service to support non-Ethereum NFTs and enable token-gating based on past ownership.
