PeckShieldAlert, a leading blockchain security company, has warned about a phishing site and a fake Twitter account related to the newly emerged Pepe (PEPE) meme coin. The Twitter account (@pepecoineth_) is fraudulent, and the link, "pepecoin. vip," is a phishing website.
The fake Twitter account has already gained over 11.8K followers, and scammers have stolen 3.56 billion PEPE through two separate transactions.
This news comes just days after Pepe's debut, which has stunned many cryptocurrency traders with its tremendous performance, but many questions are being raised about whether it can replace established tokens like Shiba Inu and Dogecoin.
