June 24 (Cointime) - The adoption of NFTs and tokens in video games has been slow due to concerns about scams, market speculation, and exploitation by publishers. This has created challenges for both indie developers and major publishers, as well as content creators in the crypto world. To overcome these obstacles, Darren Glover, VP of Gaming at VaynerSports, suggests that Web3 content creators focus on social platforms where their audience already exists, rather than using complex crypto and NFT terminology. Glover also sees potential for decentralized streaming platforms to provide an alternative to centralized leaders like Twitch, as they offer users ownership of their communities and the ability to take them off-chain. Glover believes that the lack of success for these decentralized platforms is due to poor marketing and communication, rather than the product itself.
