OpenSea, a nonfungible token (NFT) platform, has denied any knowledge of its former employee Kevin Pawlak's involvement in the AnubisDAO rug pull in 2021. NFT Ethics and Lookonchain had accused Pawlak, who allegedly used the pseudonym 0xSisyphus, of hyping the AnubisDAO project to investors and laundering the proceeds through the memecoin Pepe.
However, an OpenSea spokesperson stated that Pawlak had a limited scope while working at the company and that they had no awareness of his involvement in such activities. Additionally, blockchain sleuth ZachXBT cast doubt on the accusations, calling the thread "one of the most mid-curve" things he had read.
