July 5 (Cointime) - OpenAI has temporarily disabled ChatGPT's Browse feature, which is based on Bing search engine, due to a loophole that allowed users to bypass paywalls. The issue was discovered after a Reddit user posted a screenshot of a Browse session where the chatbot provided a paywalled article in full without the paywall.
OpenAI stated that it will fix the issue and "do right by content owners." The use of data scraping to train AI models has become a prevalent issue, with Twitter owner Elon Musk citing it as the reason for new limits on how many tweets users can read per day on the platform.
