OpenAI CEO Sam Altman told employees this week that the company's annual revenue has reached $1.3 billion. This means that the company's monthly revenue exceeds $100 million, a 30% increase from this summer.

In the whole of last year, OpenAI's revenue was only $28 million. Since the launch of the paid version ChatGPT in February (mainly from subscriptions to its conversational chatbots), the revenue growth has shown a significant increase. OpenAI's revenue also includes sales revenue from its computing power that powers its artificial intelligence.
