June 22 (Cointime) - Epic Games has announced that Nike NFTs will not be included in their collaboration with Fortnite for the creation of a Nike-themed virtual land called 'Airphoria'. The collaboration will not involve NFTs or digital item trading, contrary to initial fan expectations.

However, players who connect their Epic Games account to the .SWOOSH trading platform can be whitelisted for the next Air Max digital drop in the game. The virtual land release will invite players on a quest to find in-game items and explore a Nike-themed digital city, designed in partnership with Beyond Creative using Epic Games' Unreal Engine for Fortnite software.
