Mysten Labs announced a partnership with Anapaya, the main manufacturer of SCION network infrastructure, and invested in it to jointly explore how to use SCION's next-generation network technology to provide secure communication for web3 infrastructure (especially Sui). We also leverage the functionality of the Sui blockchain in the SCION network. SCION is a next-generation wide area network technology that can mitigate denial-of-service attacks, provide strong identity authentication options for all network traffic, resist routing attacks in design, and provide security levels that traditional IP networks do not have. It is worth noting that it is for this reason that SCION has been deployed in Swiss banks and healthcare.
