Anton Bukov, co-founder of 1inch, has raised concerns about the revised tax-related terms of service for the MetaMask cryptocurrency wallet. In a tweet, Bukov highlighted section 4.3 of the ConsenSys-provided Terms of Use, which outlines the joint responsibility of users and MetaMask in identifying and meeting tax obligations.

While MetaMask may withhold taxes if required by law, users are responsible for paying applicable taxes and service fees. The confusion around tax responsibilities has been further compounded by the recent addition of non-fungible token (NFT) services and the potential application of the term to other ConsenSys products.
