Cryptocurrency wallet MetaMask has announced the default integration of Blockaid-supported security alert services on multiple chains, ensuring that users automatically receive alerts about potential malicious transactions. This security alert was first launched on the Ethereum mainnet through a plugin wallet at the end of last month and is now available for mobile and plugin wallet users on the following networks: Linea, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Avalanche. It is reported that Blockaid was established in 2022 and provides a set of tools for simulating transactions before execution to protect integrated wallets such as MetaMask and DApps such as OpenSea, Zerion, and Rainbow from phishing and hacking attacks. Last year, the company raised $33 million in funding from Ribbit, Variant, Sequoia, and other companies.
