Mercedes-Benz Trials AI-Powered Voice Assistant System in Over 900,000 Vehicles

Mercedes-Benz is conducting a trial of a ChatGPT-powered voice assistant system in over 900,000 vehicles in the United States. The optional beta feature is available to any owner of a Mercedes-Benz car equipped with the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) interface.

Drivers can sign up for the AI-powered voice assistant by saying "Hey Mercedes, I want to join the beta program" or by signing up through the car manufacturer's "me" application. The integration of ChatGPT will expand the capabilities of the existing voice control feature, allowing users to ask the voice assistant questions related or unrelated to the driving experience.
