According to Bloomberg, OpenAI's interim CEO, Mira Murati, is planning to rehire former CEO Sam Altman and former president Greg Brockman in unspecified roles after they were dismissed. Following Altman's dismissal by the board last Friday, Murati is currently in talks with Quora CEO Adam D'Angelo, who is acting on behalf of the OpenAI board.
Meanwhile, OpenAI board members are also searching for a new CEO to replace Altman, a move that may contradict the wishes of investors such as Microsoft and Thrive Capital, who have urged the board to step down and reappoint Altman. Currently, there is growing disagreement within the board, and the future direction of OpenAI remains unclear.
