June 21 (Cointime) - A fake app posing as the crypto hardware wallet Trezor has been removed from Apple's App Store, but other copycat apps remain. Rafael Yakobi, Managing Partner at Crypto Lawyers, issued a security alert warning that the fake "Trezor Wallet Suite" app was designed to steal cryptocurrency by requesting the user's seed phrase.
While Apple is generally quick to remove suspicious or fraudulent apps, a search for "Trezor Wallet Suite" still returned another potentially malicious app called "MyTREZŌR Suite: One Edition." Users are advised to download mobile applications for crypto wallets only from the manufacturers' official website.
