July 5 (Cointime) - Long-term holders currently possess almost 14.5 million bitcoin (BTC), with their accumulation efforts continuing despite the prolonged bear market. Institutional investors, including hedge funds, pension funds, commercial banks, and insurance companies, have also shown an increasing appetite for holding the primary cryptocurrency in the long run.
Long-term holders purchased a significant amount of BTC between April and early July 2023, and their accumulation efforts continued even during the FTX meltdown in November.
Overall, long-term holders have amassed a total of 1.01 million BTC over the past 602 days and now possess 14.47 million BTC, which is just 20,000 BTC less than the all-time high.
