Karta, a startup based in London that offers metaverse marketing services to brands, has raised $1.1m (£852,000) in funding. Despite waning interest in metaverse technology, Karta plans to use the capital injection to expand its team, develop its platform, and expand its regional reach.
Karta works with brands seeking to market themselves in virtual spaces and has previously worked with companies such as Unilever and Amazon Music. The startup creates the strategy, selects the platform, and sources developers to create assets for a metaverse marketing campaign. Karta's seed round was led by GameTech Ventures.
