LG Electronics Applies for NFT Trading Patent for Smart TV

LG Electronics has applied for a patent to acquire an NFT trading patent for its Smart TV, according to a recent report published on WIPO's global database for intellectual property. The filing application can only be published after 18 months, and LG filed for the patent in November 2021. The technology will allow users to connect their crypto wallet and an NFT market server for trading. LG has also partnered with cloud-based tech platforms Oorbit and Pixelynx to integrate Metaverse on big screens. Samsung has also announced that its new smart TV product lineup will have an NFT marketplace.

    According to the monitoring of on-chain analyst Yu Jin, Jump Trading may be selling ETH: they are currently redeeming a wstETH (120,000 pieces) worth $410 million in batches into ETH and then transferring it to exchanges such as Binance/OKX. So far, they have unpacked and redeemed 83,000 wstETH into 97,500 ETH in the 9 days since July 25.
