According to news released by Inner City Press on X, lawyers representing SBF did not request a change in the trial date for trial preparation, but the federal judge provided a limited window of time. Judge Lewis Kaplan stated that if the defense wants more time for review, they can request a postponement of the start of the trial, although there is no guarantee that such a motion will be approved.
However, this work must be completed by September 1, when the jury selection process will begin. SBF faces 12 criminal charges, which will be tried separately on October 2, 2023, and March 11, 2024. Currently, SBF pleads not guilty to all charges.
