School of Business and Management at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology released the results of a public opinion survey on virtual asset investment attitudes, showing that 41% of Hong Kong people said they have no intention of holding any type of virtual asset, about 20% of respondents said they intend to hold virtual assets in the future, and cryptocurrency exchanges (61%) are the most common medium for holding virtual assets.
The virtual asset categories that respondents are most interested in holding are Bitcoin (73%), followed by non-fungible tokens (24%) and Ether (21%). However, more than 80% of respondents who are interested in investing in virtual assets said that their investment amount will not exceed HKD 50,000.
