Gnosis DAO opened a vote on the proposal to allocate 8,000 GNO to support the USDC incentive program. The proposal states that the USDC token on the Gnosis chain (currently bridged from Ethereum via Gnosis Bridge) does not meet the Bridge token standards set by Circle for November 2023. Circle will take over the token and convert it to native USDC on the Gnosis Chain, proposing the creation of an incentive program of up to 8,000 GNO. The program will run until USDC is natively issued on Gnosis.
