Professor Rafael Lemus of UCA El Salvador University has advised El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele to allocate his “failed” investment in Bitcoin to help the country’s poor.

Bukele had legalized Bitcoin as tender for the country in 2021 and had even spent millions of dollars investing in the cryptocurrency, but these investments yielded no benefits for El Salvador, according to the professor.
