June 20 (Cointime) - Gemini is planning to expand its team in Singapore to over 100 employees within the next year, as the company targets the Asia market. The Singapore office will serve as the hub for Gemini's APAC operations, which the company believes will drive the next wave of growth for crypto.

Gemini is also opening an engineering center in Gurgaon, India, and actively hiring software engineers and technical product managers. The expansion plans are part of Gemini's wider push to access a non-U.S. audience, as authorities in the U.S. crack down on major U.S.-based crypto exchanges for listing unregistered securities.
