Web3 credential data network Galxe posted on X platform that the website has fully recovered and will continue to strengthen security. Galxe stated that on October 6th, an unidentified person contacted its domain service provider Dynadot, impersonating a Galxe authorized member and bypassing security programs with forged documents.

The impersonator then accessed the domain account without authorization and used the account to redirect users to a fake website and sign transactions to steal user funds. Galxe stated: "This incident only affected our domain and frontend applications.

All Galxe smart contracts and technical systems are secure and protected. Approximately 1,120 users who interacted with the malicious website were affected, and approximately $270,000 was stolen." In addition, Galxe stated: "We are actively working with law enforcement and third-party experts to develop a fund recovery plan. We will ensure support for everyone affected. Once we have a complete transaction list, users will be notified of the next steps."
