Galaxy Managing Director: The Tokenization Market Is Currently Illiquid

Chris Rhine, the Managing Director of Galaxy, stated in the "Institutionalization of Digital Assets" roundtable session at Token2049 in Singapore: In more developed areas, the traditional financial sector will not only seek efficiency. They may start with the least liquid asset categories. Because you won't transfer liquid asset categories to illiquid market spaces, and currently the tokenized market space is illiquid because there really aren't that many transactions in the market right now.

But tokenizing a very illiquid asset is harmless because you're not sacrificing liquidity. As we continue to build and develop the market, I think the traditional financial world will see a simplified process, an efficiency improvement, and a growing market that provides 24/7 functionality. So this takes time. There have been some predictions about the size of the tokenized market. This may be a technology adoption curve, slowly moving forward, and then suddenly starting to grow rapidly.
